UV Bonding

- Principle -

UV bonding is a photochemical reaction to cure adhesives using high-intensity UV-A light. Liquid formulations contain a mix of monomer and oligomer and photoinitiators. These photoinitiatiors are activated by the UV light to link monomers & oligomers together and create a corresponding network of polymers. The formulation is then almost instantly hardened in a short period of time to bond two parts together.

UV LED lighting systems in the UV-A range (365-405nm, depending on the chemistry) are widely used for optical, plastic/glass or glass/metal bonding processes thanks to great intensity and electrical efficiency. Precise, compact & innovative LED lightings often replace old, huge & energy-consuming thermal curing or mercury lamps in a wide range of industrial applications.

UV Optical Bonding

Optical bonding is a high-precision assembly technique that uses photopolymerizable adhesives to bond transparent components such as glass, displays, or lenses. Based on UV LED curing, this process ensures fast, uniform, and precisely controlled polymerization without affecting the optical properties of the materials. It provides optimal transparency, reduces visual defects, and delivers an excellent surface finish, which is essential for high-performance electronic, automotive, and optical applications. By enhancing the mechanical strength of assemblies while maintaining high optical clarity, UV optical bonding has become a reliable solution for demanding technical environments.

Medical Device Manufacturing

In the medical industry, UV adhesives enable the fast and precise assembly of plastic, metal, and transparent components. UV curing provides instant polymerization while minimizing thermal stress on sensitive materials. This assembly solution is particularly well suited for the manufacturing of syringes, catheters, diagnostic devices, and medical equipment requiring reliability, cleanliness, and high precision.

UV Bonding Technology for Loudspeaker and Audio Component Assembly

UV assembly in loudspeaker manufacturing relies on photopolymerization processes that enable the precise bonding of diaphragms, voice coils, magnets, and other acoustic components. Thanks to the rapid curing of resins under ultraviolet exposure, this technology ensures excellent assembly accuracy and enhanced mechanical stability of audio components. It helps improve process repeatability, optimize production throughput, and maintain consistent acoustic performance.

UV LED Material Bonding for Industrial Assembly Applications

UV bonding is a high-performance industrial technology that enables the fast and precise joining of various materials such as glass, plastic, metal, and composites. Based on the curing of technical resins through ultraviolet radiation, this UV bonding process provides instant polymerization, ensuring reliable, uniform, and long-lasting adhesion. It produces strong assemblies that are resistant to mechanical and chemical stresses while improving the overall quality of the finished product.

UV Bonding Solutions for Luxury Goods Manufacturing and Assembly

UV bonding technologies are widely used in the luxury industry to precisely and discreetly assemble high-end materials such as crystal, glass, and metal. Thanks to rapid curing through ultraviolet radiation, this process ensures perfectly clean, transparent, and aesthetically refined finishes while preserving the integrity of delicate components. It meets the high standards of quality, precision, and consistency required in watchmaking, jewelry, cosmetics, and premium accessories.
